Here's your chance to show off your artistic flair!
The holiday season allows everyone to be an artist in many and varied ways. Your creativity is shown in your outside decorations, indoor trees, and Christmas Village displays. For some, it begins when they make their own holiday décor. For others, treasured items passed from generation to generation bring fond memories while decorating. Still others add to their "look" with new ideas. Any way you look at it, decorating for the holiday season is like a work of art. It's one-of-a-kind, created using many media.
This year, the Tall Grass Arts Association presents "The Holiday Artist in You" contest. It's as simple as
one…two…three…- Decorate your Interior Christmas Tree, Exterior Decorations/Home Décor, or your Interior Christmas Village Display.
- Upload a .jpeg of your submission in any or all three categories.
- Get your friends and family to vote for your entry.
The entry fee is $5.00 for each category submission. Entries must be uploaded by 10:00:00 PM (Central Time) on Sunday, December 12, 2021. Once your entry is confirmed, you will be able to use the "share" link to tell everyone you know that you are a participant in the contest. Ask them to vote for you so that you can win the first-place plaque in the category you have entered. At the time of entry, contestants are given the option to purchase votes in advance for their entry.
Voting begins at 8:00:00 AM (Central Time) on Monday, December 13, 2021 and runs through 11:00:00 PM (Central Time) on Thursday, December 23, 2021. Votes cost $1.00 each. Voters may purchase as many votes as they like and use them all for one entry OR divide them between multiple entries.
The purchase of votes is tax deductible, as the Tall Grass Arts Association is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Your printable receipt is proof of the donation.
For VOTES (donations) to count toward an entry, the gogophotocontest.com/tallgrassartsassociation site must be used. For anyone not having access to the site, please email tallgrass367@sbcglobal.net or call 708-748-3377 for assistance. The winner in each category will be announced on December 25. Each winner will receive $50 and a plaque.
