Pet's Story:
Fade in: New York City. A dazzling, 10 year old blue tick beagle named Romy slowly emerges from under a blanket. The late morning sun sparkles in her mahogany eyes. She yawns with anticipation of her petit déjeuner, which shall be served by her obedient humans, upon her command. They enter the room to greet her, as per their daily routine. But today is different. She sees more love and adulation in their eyes than usual. It is somehow more pure and more full than yesterday. And then it dawns on her. It’s been 10 years. 10 years with these two humans feeding her, petting her, playing with her, feeding her more, and of course, loving her. Loving her more than any quantifiable measurement. Her heart swells with so much adoration that her tail wags furiously. She doesn’t know what else today will bring, but even if nothing else, she knows this is enough. This is her everything, and she is pretty sure the same goes for these two humans kneeling in front of her. Now…what’s for breakfast?
