Tell us about your pet
We adopted Daisy from TCRAS in November of 2013. She was one of those dogs who had been there for a long time, and would hide behind her bed. When we came to pick her up, one of the women took her head in her hands, gave her a little rub of an essential oil mix labeled, "Valor," kissed her on the head and said, "Now, you be brave!" I think about that moment, and that sweet woman a lot.
I have had rescues for 20 years, but Daisy is one of those that makes you feel like you don't know anything about dogs It is impossible to convey the lessons and the light that the love of a dog who learns to trust again brings into your life. She has taught us so much about patience and love and family over the past 4 years. We celebrate every small victory, and every demonstration of bravery like it was a group win at Westminster. My girl holds her tail, and her head high. She knows she is safe here until the day she takes her last breath.
