Your Pet's Rescue Story
Mary came into rescue at 18 months old, found as a stray wandering the streets of Austin. Her belly was full - but not with food. Rather, she was pregnant - and full term. However, smart Mary waited to deliver until she and her babies were safe. Just two nights after arriving, she pushed out the first puppy around 10:30pm. Outside, lightning and thunder were relentless. The stoic calm of the Pyr prevailed, and over 24 hours later, Mary lay, proud and beautiful, 11 babies at her belly. This was Mary's entry into rescue; this was Mary's entry into my heart.
