Your Pet's Rescue Story
Sam and Lucy were both adopted from rescues. We adopted Lucy at age 1 1/2 from a local all-breed rescue after she was found wandering in rural Oklahoma as a stray. Lucy is very affectionate, playful and loves to be with her people! Sam joined our family when he was approximately one year old. Sam had been cleared for euthanasia at an urban shelter after being brought in as a stray. He fortunately was taken in by a loving foster family and we subsequently adopted him. Sam has a congenital front foot deformity, for which he now has a prosthetic foot. However, Sam has not let that hold him back! He often outruns our other two Pyrs. Sam is a delightful dog; very happy-go-lucky and wonderfully mischievous.
