Entries
- Each entry is a $5 fee.
- All adopted children or adoptee allies are welcome to enter. By entering your child you are agreeing that your child was adopted.
- Limit of ONE CHILD PER PHOTO entry. Photos that do not follow these rules will be removed and will not be eligible to win with no opportunity for a refund.
- PARENTS MUST SIGN A MODEL RELEASE for their child to participate as a winner. We are not able to take the child’s image without a model print release.
- All photos must be uploaded; we cannot accept printed photos. We cannot accept any copyrighted or professional photos.
- The Submissions Period starts at 8:00 AM (Central Time) on Monday, February 12, 2024 and ends at 9:00 PM (Central Time) on Monday, March 25, 2024.
- Contest entry fees are tax-deductible. The email acknowledgment of your online donation serves as your tax receipt.
- Any photograph that includes content that is deemed inappropriate, indecent, or obscene, as determined by Beth Sheridan Photography in their sole discretion, will be removed from the contest with no opportunity for a refund.
- For the safety of your child, only first names of the child are to be used. Photos with identifying information including, but not limited to, names, locations, schools, teams etc.… will be removed, disqualified, and will not be eligible to win with no opportunity for a refund.
- Posting more than one photo of your child does not increase the chances of winning. The winners of the photo contest will be determined by the top 13 entries that receive the most votes. The same child can only win once. Attempts to win two spots in the calendar by the same child will not be permitted.
Voting
- Votes are $1 each with a five-vote minimum.
- Each $1 donation counts as one (1) vote.
- All donations from voting are non-refundable. Entries and donations must be made via the online contest page. Contest payments online are through a secure site.
- Contest votes are tax-deductible. The email acknowledgment of your online donation serves as your tax receipt.
- All winners will be determined by electronic vote tabulations under the supervision of GoGo Photo Contest, whose decisions are final and binding.
- The Voting Period starts at 8:00 AM (Central Time) on Monday, February 12, 2024 and ends at 9:00 PM (Central Time) on Monday, March 25, 2024.
Calendar Photo Session
- The top 13 vote getters will have their child professionally photographed by Beth Sheridan Photography in April 2024 for the 2025 calendar on pre-determined dates at a pre-determined outdoor location within the greater Houston area. If you are unable to commit to a photo session during that time or find yourself unable to travel to the pre-selected location on the pre-selected dates, you forfeit your winning and the next top vote getter will take your child’s spot in the calendar, no exceptions.
- Please note that participation in this contest requires photography of the winning children by Beth Sheridan Photography for calendar production. While we understand the sensitivity of this situation, in the unfortunate event that a child featured among the top 13 vote getters is no longer able to participate before the calendar sessions, the next highest vote getter will take their place.
- All winners will have the opportunity to upgrade the complimentary micro session to a full session and to purchase products following their session if desired.
- The top vote recipient will win the coveted cover photo for the 2025 calendar. The following 12 recipients with the most votes will be eligible to have their child featured as an adoptee of the month.
- The photographer, Beth Sheridan Photography, will choose the best image of the child to be used in the calendar as well as which month that image will appear.
Weekly Mini-Contests & Promo Prizes
- The child receiving the highest number of new votes each week or promo day throughout the five-week contest will win a mini-contest prize from one of the participating businesses.
- Each child may only win a weekly mini-contest once or promo prize only once.
- In the event of a tie, a random computerized draw will be held between the highest vote getters of the week or promo day to determine that week's or day’s winner.
- In the event that there are no new votes for that week or day, a random computerized draw will be held for all eligible children.
- Certain individual business restrictions and limitations may apply and may vary by business. Beth Sheridan Photography is not responsible for these restrictions and eligibility requirements as determined by each business.
The Fine Print
- By submitting a photo entry, you warrant and represent that your entry is your own original work created by you and that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to your entry materials. If you submit an entry that is copyrighted by another individual, you are responsible for any legal action the copyright holder takes against you.
- By submitting a photo entry, you are granting express model release permission for the your minor child’s photo to be used in the GoGo Photo Contest Voting – this may include social sharing, social media advertisements and press releases to promote the voting contest. By submitting a photo, you are granting the right of use of your child’s image. (No location information will be included to ensure the safety of your child).
- Calendars will be available to the general public starting in September 2024.
- By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless The Sanctuary and Beth Sheridan Photography and each of their respective officers, directors, representatives, volunteers, and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claims of any nature arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of any prize.
- Beth Sheridan Photography will have the final say in winning entries. Should an entry receive votes that places it among the top 13 entries and the person in charge of that entry corresponds with or speaks to the photographer or The Sanctuary and their respective officers, directors, representatives, volunteers, or agents in a manner which is rude, condescending, or aggressive, the entry’s votes will be overruled and that entry will be withdrawn from the contest, disqualified, and removed with no opportunity for a refund. The next highest vote getter will be chosen by Beth Sheridan Photography in its place.
