Pet personality / Story of adoption / Why is your pet special? In 2008, we rescued Midnight in Kearney, NE when she was still very young and had been harmed / abused by her owner. When we found her she was very scared and frightened of people. It took us a full week and a lot of work to get her to come in the garage to eat when we were present. After three weeks, she at least allowed us to feed her and be in the garage with her. After a month, she was comfortable coming in the house. But for years and years, she seemed to be scared of her own shadow.
Today after nine years of consistent caring love, she is an important part of our family and has a great life, primarily an indoor cat, she enjoys spending a lot of time outside and sometimes still prefers to sleep in the garage.
The Bombay cat breed is mysterious, and usually associated with Halloween (i.e. "...don't cross the path of a Black Cat, its unlucky."). They have beautiful eyes, a silky coat of fur, and carry themselves confidently like a black panther.
