Why is Your Pet "Rescued (or Stray) and Hilarious?
Bear is a former barn cat turned apartment cat. I started walking him in the hopes that it would improve his play aggression and kitty box mishaps- good news, HUGE improvement! Bear enjoys walking as often as possible. While on leash, he will frequently zip up a tree to get a better look of his "territory." He enjoys rolling around in the catnip bushes, hissing at other neighborhood cats from a far and saying hello to new neighbors. Sometimes he will try to stay out longer than his usual 30 minutes. When this happens, I find that I sometimes I have to pick him up to bring him home... This almost always results in a passionate and disdainful "hisssss" and grumble or two. He has no problems being picked up, EXCEPT when he feels he hasn't finished his walk. When he isn't walking he is often found inside sleeping on his cat tree, starting trouble with his "sister," Gracie, or demanding things of his humans (i.e. treats, lunch, playtime, whatever it may be...). I have learned over the years that if we don't give in to his demands for play time, attention, treats, etc.- he will very likely poop on the bed or couch. For this reason, we keep tarps on the bed and couch JUST IN CASE. He also enjoys creeping under the covers after midnight to take a nap. He is a handful of spunk and silliness- but a joy to have!
