We're Back! It's The Third Annual Rescue Pet Calendar Contest!
It's time to put a smile on everyone's face, including our pets!
This year, the theme for our rescue pet calendar contest, "I'm Rescued and Hilarious", focuses on the fun and laughter our pets bring into our home. Regardless of the troubles in the world outside our doors (and there have been many this past year), our dogs, cats, and other companion animals are an ongoing source of joy, laughter and good cheer.
This year's calendar is dedicated to the photos and stories of the companion animals who have brought a smile to our face; had us chuckle and shake our heads; and sometimes made us laugh so hard that tears ran down our cheeks.
We therefore invite you to enter your hilarious companion animal in this year's photo contest.
You may have noticed that all entries accepted into the contest last year, even those who were not one of the 12 winners, had sizeable photos included in the calendar. We were so happy with the results and with the feedback from the pet families, we decided to make it a tradition. So, for this year and every year going forward, no matter how many entries we receive (and we hope to have a lot of them!), ALL ENTRIES ACCEPTED INTO THE CONTEST WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE CALENDAR!
The contest continues to be open for all companion animals adopted through a rescue organization or shelter, or found as a stray. (Yes, that means, although we are expecting mostly dogs and cats, rescue bunnies, pigs, etc., are welcome to enter, too!)
If your pet is not a rescue, you can reserve a calendar day for his or her photo to appear on, with a caption of your choice. The cost is $10.
Entering the contest is easy. Submit a photo of your rescue pet, along with a $10 entry fee. Then tell us about the hilarious photo you have submitted, and the story of how your pet came into your life and what she or he means to you and your family. (Please limit to 300 words).
Be sure to include why everyone should vote for your pet.
The photos of the 12 pets with the most votes will be featured on a full page above one of the months on the calendar.
In addition to being great fun, you will be supporting the work of The Crossings Animal Society. The proceeds from this contest and the calendar sales that follow will enable us to continue our work, serving dogs and cats (and their families) in need in our community.

The contest begins on September 20 at 8 AM, and ends at 11:59:59 PM on November 1. So don't delay -- send in the photo of your cherished pet and start casting your votes!
Reserve a Day to Honor Your Pet
Want a guaranteed spot in the calendar? Reserve a day to honor your pet. (This opportunity is open for all pets, whether or not they are a rescue) Your pet's photo will appear on the day of your choice.
This could be your pet's birthday, adoption day, or some other day—as long as it does not conflict with one of the holidays we observe. Join the fun, and make your pet the celebrity that he or she is! Each day requires a $10 fee.
