To live with Cadie is to laugh every day. Everyone who meets her just falls in love with this 11-month old adorable bundle of fun.

The journey to adopt Cadie (named for Acadia National Park, which the family also dearly loves) began early this year. The family’s beloved German Shepherd passed over the Rainbow Bridge in January, leaving a void in their lives. They decided to look for a smaller dog, and found Cadie, a Beagle mix, on an adoption website. They drove to Malverne, PA, where Cadie was staying with her foster family, promptly fell in love, and adopted her on the spot.

At home with her forever family, the fun began. Cadie often sports one ear forward and one ear back, which is hilarious even before she does anything funny. But the laughter continues from there. “She thinks nothing of stealing anything you’re working with”, says Francesca, Cadie’s Mom. She gives the appearance of playing gently with her toys, then proceeds to tear them to shreds. She jumps very, very high throughout the day, often landing on someone’s back or shoulders.

Cadie also loves to chase. While the family is in Maine, she chases the waves on the beach. She also chases the foam, running after and jumping into it. But she is particularly intrigued by bugs. She pursues them relentlessly. Cadie even runs after bugs that no one else can see!

“She just cracks us up!”, exclaims Francesca. “Having Cadie in our family is the most fun we’ve ever had.”
