Why is Your Pet "Rescued (or Stray) and Notorious"?
When Sharon and Dennis lost their beloved 17-year-old Jack Russell, Madelyn, they decided to adopt again. Their hope was to find a Jack Russell just like Maddie- sweet, submissive, and gentle.

They adopted an adorable puppy and named her Adeline. She was a Jack Russell, just like Maddie. However, that's where the resemblance ended.
Adeline, or Addie as she is called, loves to run around, play to her heart's content, and generally be rambunctious.

Addie loves people, and gets excited whenever someone comes in the door, particularly her family members. She particularly enjoys snuggling next to Dennis or Sharon and watching TV.

Her claim to notoriety, however, is her tenacity chasing balls and squirrels (not at the same time)! Once Addie catches a ball, she will not let go of it. If someone succeeds in getting the ball from her, she will cry. The only way to stop her crying is to distract her, then put the ball in the freezer!

Addie is also a champion squirrel chaser. She can spot a squirrel from over 40 feet away, and give it chase. The squirrel will usually go up a tree, then taunt Addie by jumping from tree to tree. Adeline will not give up the chase, barking for up to 30 minutes. Ultimately, though, the squirrel survives, despite Addie's best efforts to catch it!

That's Addie- feared by all squirrels, loved by all humans.
