Why is Your Pet "Rescued (or Stray) and Notorious"?
Hello. My name is Baby. It is true that I am an "ancient" cat-- no one knows for sure exactly how old I am. I may be close to 20.

Yvonne, my person and staff, inherited me when her Mom passed away. I had lived with Marilyn, Yvonne's Mom, for many years. But for the past five years, I have been part of Yvonne's family.

You might think that, given my age, I would be tired and worn out and hardly any trouble at all. You would be wrong. I am feisty and strong-willed and-- well, notorious.

A good part of my notoriety comes from what I was allowed to do in Marilyn's house. I prefer to drink directly out of the faucet. (When Yvonne first brought me to her home, she had to leave the bathroom faucet running all night long, or I would shriek at 3 a.m.) I insist on being fed on the kitchen counter. And I walk and lie down wherever I please.

Now that I've been with Yvonne for awhile, I don't need to drink out of the faucet all night long. The water fountain and bowls also do nicely. But make no mistake- I'm in charge here. If Yvonne doesn't wake up when her alarm rings, I become the alarm, vocalizing until Yvonne is out of bed. When Yvonne goes into the bathroom, I often follow, and I allow no other pet in besides me. Breakfast and dinner must always be served on time.

So there you have it. I am Baby, the patriarch of this family. I am annoying and notorious, and dearly loved for my special personality.
