Miss Noogie

Why is Your Pet "Rescued (or Stray) and Notorious"?
I adopted Miss Noogie from The Crossing Animal Society about 3 years ago. She first came to join my cat family- 5 other cats- as a foster pet. However, I knew once I saw her and brought her home, I would want to keep her.

But I was uncertain for quite some time that Miss Noogie could become a permanent part of my household. Never having lived with other cats, she remained in my bathroom for several months. She stepped into the hallway and ventured to the pet gate that separated her from the other cats, only once in a while. I had to convince myself over and over again to just be patient and "hang in there".

I finally decided one day, after a number of gate visits without fighting between her and my other cats, that it was "now or never". So down came the gate. Little by little, Miss Noogie began exploring the rest of the house, gradually making it her own.

Other than an occasional spat here or there, all my cats, including Miss Noogie, sleep in the living room. It is a joy to finally watch her move around the house on her own free will and explore on her own without fear.

I suppose Miss Noogie is notorious for finding her courage and staking out her place in my family and with me. She now follows me everywhere.
Getting ready in the morning is the one thing Miss Noogie and I do together without exception, just the two of us.

Miss Noogie has really made a fine addition to my cat family. I'm so satisfied that she is now content. Many thanks to The Crossing Animal Society.
