Why is Your Pet "Rescued (or Stray) and Extraordinary"?
We rescued Pearl from The Crossings Animal Society in January 2023. I was working remotely and looking for some 4-legged company. When we got a call about her, we rushed right over, and it was one of the best decisions we've ever made.
At first, sweet Pearl was timid and took some time to adjust. Today, she is 100% beagle, motivated by food and treats! We start our day with a walk with Angie, our black lab friend and neighbor. Pearl loves to explore, sniff everything, and meet other dogs and small children. Everyone seems to know and love her! After our walk, she inhales her breakfast and then sets her sights on mine, hoping that something falls on the floor.
Throughout the day, Pearl spends her time looking out the window (watching the world in all its glory) and sleeping on the couch (resting from all that watching). When I take a break from my remote work, Pearl steps in to bask in my attention and make sure I don't get bored! She genuinely loves being around people, so at night, she enjoys snuggling in the pillows and blankets and watching TV with us. What a way to end a day.
Pearl is extraordinary in that she's an integral part of our family. In fact, we're so much more a family with her in it. We love her with all our hearts, and she reciprocates that love generously, with the irresistible excitement and energy of a pup. We're so lucky to share our lives with her, and to have the honor of giving her the best life possible.
