Why is Your Pet "Rescued (or Stray) and Extraordinary"?
We adopted Rameau from SAVE in November 2024. He was just a kitten when we brought him home. Rameau, named after a French Baroque composer, was welcomed by our other cat, Josquin, who immediately started looking after him and caring for him. Rameau was a perfect match for our household, which now includes four cats and two humans. Rameau is a very likeable, affectionate, and easygoing cat, who gets along with other cats very well. Our daughter asked us to take care of her two cats during the holidays, and Rameau worked very hard to make the two "strangers" feel comfortable and welcome, just like Josquin had helped Rameau settle in when he first appeared in our home.
Josquin (a huge three-year-old black cat) and Rameau (a rather small white cat) remain inseparable. It's a joy to see how Josquin continues to "parent" and take care of Rameau, and how Rameau keeps making up games for himself and Josquin to play--almost as if these two felines were meant to be rescue cats in the same household.
