Why is Your Pet "Rescued (or Stray) and Extraordinary"?
Meet Rosie, we rescued her from Wags Rescue on June 10, 2018 at the approx age of 6 months old. She is a super cute combination of a long-haired golden retriever and a dachshund, with dwarfism. When we rescued her, we were told she was found on a military base in North Carolina under housing, alone and scared. After we adopted her she immediately fit right in with our family, giving lots of love to her rescued fur sister Zoey (from TheCrossings Animal Society), us and our kids. Our daughter was very young then and Rosie would hear the bus pull up to the house and sit by the glass door to greet her with tail wags and a toy. Over the past 7 years she has continuously provided love and support to our family and of course, lots of kisses. When her fur sister Zoey became ill, she spent countless hours by her side to comfort her, give lots of love and again provide lots of kisses. After Zoey‘s passing at 17 years of age, even though she was saddened herself, she immediately jumped into action to support our family and especially myself. It was almost as if she was saying don’t worry Mom it’ll be ok.
Over the years, she’s been such a blessing to our family and been spoiled like she deserves to be. Recently, there’s been some major life changes within our family and again she’s jumped into action, never leaving our sides, always keeping us laughing and giggling especially when she has her zoomies.
Rosie would be honored to be a part of the calendar knowing that she’s helping to provide rescue support and care for her fellow rescued fur friends.
