Pet's Story or Bio
Tinkerbell is a rescue cat from Pet Refuge, a shelter in South Bend, Indiana. She came to the shelter when she was surrendered to the local Humane Society for euthanasia because her prior owner believed she had Feline Leukemia. She did not, but she presented with tissue necrosis in both ears and in much of her tail, resulting in amputation of part of both ears and most of her tail. But throughout that, the volunteers said she remained sweet and patient!

About a year after she was returned, I came to the shelter looking for a senior cat who could tolerate other cats and a dog roommate. The volunteers suggested Tinkerbell, and I fell in love the moment I met her. She was a little shy at first, but now she greets me every time I come home with her chatter and a big purr, and cuddles with me every time I sit down. She loves napping on towels and watching the world outside from her cat tree, and she is the best thing to come into my life. I am so glad someone decided to save her instead of euthanizing her when they saw her tissue necrosis, and am forever grateful to Pet Refuge for their care of her (now I volunteer there)! Shelters everywhere do such amazing work!
