Contest Period:

Photo submissions and voting will be open from August 1st, 2018 at 12:00 AM EST until September 5th, 2018 AT 11:59:59 PM EST. All entries and votes must be submitted by the deadlines listed above in order to be included in the final vote count.

Eligibility:

You must be 19 years of age or older and a resident of Canada to participate in this contest.

Photo requirements:

Your submitted photo does not have to be of a pet adopted by or adopted through the Toronto Humane Society. Photos of any domesticated pets from any background are welcome. E.g. dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, etc., - pictures of wildlife will not be accepted.
Digital photos are required. Photos must be clear, of good quality and high resolution and submitted via the contest website submission form. We recommend that you upload photos from your phone or camera at original size for high resolution. We cannot accept Polaroids, heavily edited photos, photos with stickers or writing on it. Copyrighted or professional photos must be accompanied by authorization from the photographer. We cannot accept copyrighted professional photos or any photos that have been digitally manipulated or altered.
Once a photo is submitted, it will appear in the online gallery and will be open to voting by the public.
The same pet can be entered into the contest multiple times, but votes will not be combined across multiple entries of the same pet. Each photo earns votes separately.
Pets must be depicted in a safe environment setting in all entries. Photos may contain more than one pet. Photos must either feature pets owned by the entrant, OR the entrant must have permission from the pet's owner to submit their pet's image.

Terms:

Entrants may enter as many photos as they would like. Entries must be submitted online by 11:59:59 PM EST on September 5th, 2018.
All entries are required to list the name of their pet pictured in the photo and a short bio.
Once entered, photos become the property of the Toronto Humane Society and may be used for online, print, and marketing purposes.
Donations are non-refundable and fully tax-deductible as permitted by law. The Toronto Humane Society is a registered non-profit organization. If you enter more than 20 votes (equivalent to $20) , after the contest has ended you will receive a tax receipt.
By participating in this contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless each of the officers, directors, representatives, volunteers and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claims of any nature arising out of participation in the contest or receipt or use of any prize.
Board Members and Employees of the Toronto Humane Society and or their immediate families (spouses, children, siblings, parents, domestic partner) and/or persons living in the same household as such persons, whether or not related, are ineligible to enter the contest and are not eligible to win.
You may enter an unlimited number of times, but you may not use an agency or automated system to enter. Toronto Humane Society reserves the right to reject any additional entries or entries that do not comply with these Official Rules. By entering, you indicate your unconditional agreement to, and acceptance of, these Official Rules which are final and binding. You cannot win a prize unless you comply with all requirements in these Official Rules.
Except where prohibited, a potential winner may be required to complete and return an affidavit of eligibility, including proof of age, and liability/publicity release within 14 days. If a potential winner fails to return these documents on time, an alternate potential winner may be selected in his/her place.
By entering, you agree to release and hold harmless the Toronto Humane Society, their respective parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (the "Released Parties") from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Go Go Photo Contest or receipt or use of any prize, including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the Go Go Photo Contest; (b) technical errors; (c) printing errors; (d) late or undelivered mail; (e) errors in the administration of the Go Go Photo Contest; or (f) injury or damage to persons or property. You waive the right to claim any legal fees and any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages.
Any information you submit as part of the Go Go Photo Contest will be used in accordance with the Toronto Humane Society's Privacy Policy. Except where prohibited, you consent to the Toronto Humane Society's use of your name in any list of winners (if applicable) and for promotional purposes in any media without further payment or consideration.

Release and Limitations of Liability:

By entering, you agree to release and hold harmless the Toronto Humane Society, their respective parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (the "Released Parties") from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Photo Contest or receipt or use of any prize, including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the Photo Contest; (b) technical errors; (c) printing errors; (d) late or undelivered mail; (e) errors in the administration of the Photo Contest; or (f) injury or damage to persons or property. Privacy and Publicity:

Any information you submit as part of the Photo Contest will be used in accordance with the Toronto Humane Society's Privacy Policy. Except where prohibited, you consent to the Toronto Humane Society's use of your name in any list of winners (if applicable) and for promotional purposes in any media without further payment or consideration.

Disputes:

You agree that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Photo Contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in Ontario. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, your rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Toronto Humane Society in connection with the Photo Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Ontario, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of Ontario or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than Ontario.

Online Voting:

Voting by the general public is available for a $1 donation per vote, with a $5 minimum donation.
We encourage you to email the contest link to family and friends and encourage them to vote for your entry.
All votes will be periodically tabulated and displayed on the contest website. There may be a temporary delay in displaying the most recent tabulations.
Voting begins on August 1st, 2018 at 12:00 AM EST and ends on September 5th, 2018 at 11:59:59 PM EST*.
Due to limitations of our automated tabulation system, there can be up to a 15 minute delay between when a donation is received/recorded and when it is reflected in the leaderboard on the contest website. All gifts received before 11:59:59 PM EST on September 5th, 2018 will be honored. The leaderboard results are official.
The ending time for online voting will be solely determined by the host website's server. Keep in mind that your clock may differ from the clock that determines the ending time, depending on your time zone.

Winners will be announced on the Toronto Humane Society Facebook page and GoGo Photo Contest page on Thursday, September 6th. Winners will be contacted by phone (first) or email (alternatively) by Friday, September 7th, 2018.
