Tell us a little bit about your pup!
Hi! I’m Emma, a 1.5 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback. Some may see my light eyes and liver nose and mistake me for a Vizsla, but I’m a more rare and unique variation of Ridgeback than the typical black-nosed, brown-eyed Ridgeback. You can’t miss my legendary “ridge” of hair along my back that’s basically my own built in runway of fabulousness.

People tell me that my ancestors hunted lions in Zimbabwe but I mostly hunt elephants…purple elephants that squeak, that is! I also love to play with my 2 cat brothers.

Although I’m nearly 100 lbs, I’m the perfect cuddler and can be a couch potato at times. I’m the embodiment of a loyal, loving companion to my pack. I enjoy adventures, playing with my dog friends, chasing bugs, sunbathing like royalty, and sticking my nose in shopping bags my mom brings home.

While I can be reserved with strangers, I’m a mini celebrity in my neighborhood, Fearrington Village. Many of its senior residents look forward to greeting me on my walks every day.

I am a reminder that life is meant for wagging tails, seeking adventures, staying curious, and enjoying all the treats.
