Willie aka One-eyed Willie

Tell us a little bit about your pup!
My wife and I fostered for the Wake Counter Animal Center for several years. One of our early fosters was a very young pup with one eye missing. No explanation for that other than the shelter's vet felt it was most likely lost during the birthing process. Our oldest son (pre -marriage), fell in love with him and would come to our house every day from work during his lunch to spend time and play with him. He ended up adopting him personally when he learned there was interest in him of being adopted and did not want to lose him. Willie is a large, terrific dog full of love, especially for my son's now two young daughters; being both protective of them and playful. Despite his size and single eye site issue ; he is very careful of the two girls and they love him very much. He actually listens better to them then he does my son and his wife....LOL . Willy is a true positive rescue story and a definite member of our entire family. Named after One-Eyed Willie from the 1985 movie, 'The Goonies'
