A little about this entry...
A true barn find, reportedly traded for some work on a Mustang. A 1970 300SEL 6.3 that sat for years - I thought it was too much of a project and didn't really want it, so offered $6,000. Seller agreed, and I had a car that was on the ground (air suspension deflated) with unknown engine condition. About 2,500 sold in the United States, originally cost more than a Rolls Royce, it was the fastest 4 door sedan in the world at the time. Have done a tremendous amount of work with a lot left to do, but driving it is wonderful.
