Looking fast just standing still - the R129

A little about this entry...
I recently jumped into the R129 SL world by chance - I had a family friend, who knew I was a "car guy", ask me to look at a 1997 SL320 down at the Outer Banks of NC. I took a test drive and immediately fell in love. I couldn't wait to travel back down to Duck, NC, to retrieve the car as soon as possible. This snap was taken during a quick pit stop on the ride back. Turns out this was a special model, the 40th Anniversary Roadster Special, with the snappy Quartz Blue paint and the very unusual Blue-green Bird's Eye Maple wood interior. This one's a Keeper!
