1971 280 SL

A little about this entry...
The very first Mercedes I drove at age 16 was a 1971 280SL. I was hooked by the 3 pointed star and knew one day I would have one. 40 years later I found this one on Ebay. I was not the winning bidder. Three days after the auction I received a call from the seller stating the buyer could not pay and wanted to know if I was still interested in buying it. The next day I headed to Wilmington, NC to pick it up. It's been a true joy and family hit. My son used in his wedding as the get away car. I continue to restore it as they are never perfect. We will continue to enjoy the drives for many years to come.
