Pet's Story
Gordita was a rescue who came from SC. She was skin and bones and just had a liter of pups who were rescued and brought up north with her. She’s been through a lot including battling heartworm disease. Gordita is the apple of her mommy’s eye and provides her family with plenty of laughs. She loves to sit in her window and talk to everyone who walks by and she patrols her yard making sure no bunnies or deer get into mommy’s garden. Her favorite people are Carol, the only mail carrier she allows to deliver the mail, her pop-pop who comes to hang out with her when mommy and daddy have to go away, and her buddy Ian who lives next door and has grown up with her. Gordita can always be seen with her orange ball as she patrols the yard. She likes to show it off to everyone who comes by. She also sits in the driveway and talks to her fur buddy Anderson, a chocolate lab, who lives across the street. They sit in their respective driveways and have full on conversations. And her favorite thing by far is firepit night. Probably because of the hotdogs, but she sits by the fire for hours just enjoying the company of all who join her and mommy fireside. Gordita is a silly girl who puts up with her mommy’s love for dressing her up in costumes and taking lots of pictures. Even though she’s 10 years old she still acts like a puppy and has a forever young heart. She brings joy to all who meet her.
