Pet's Story
We adopted Apple, Josie and Ginger from poor (high-kill) shelters in Alabama and Kentucky. Ginger (on right) was the worst off. When found in the shelter, age 6, she was malnourished, 5 pounds and ready to give birth. She gave birth to 3 little puppies just 5 days after she was rescued from the shelter. 1 did not survive. Due to 6 years of poor conditions, she has since been treated for mammary cancer and had all teeth except for 2 removed. HOWEVER, this trio is thrilled to live the good life in Minnesota going on daily walks, watching wildlife in the back yard pond and sleeping in their human's bed. All 3 are small (5-7 pounds) but their personalities are full of love and joy.
