Pet's Story
Lightning McQueen and Mater were adopted one month apart when Lightning was 1 year old and Mater was 3 months old. Though completely different in personality, they very quickly became best friends just like the characters in the Cars movies.
Lightning originally came from a loving home who's caregiver could no longer take care of him do to health issues and Mater had a rough start on the streets of Woodbury, MN.
Mater is a shy cat with a lot of spunk who loves to instigate tussles and play time with Lightning, who loves to chase him around the house. At the end of the day, they enjoy taking naps together and snuggling. They truly are the best of friends and became a bonded pair within a month of meeting each other.
You can always find Mater in a high up place, even going as far as to jump five feet from the counter to the top of the cabinets with ease since he was a little baby. Lightning enjoys to curl up in a cat bed or atop one of the cat trees. They love to test my patience after discovering the ability to open cabinets and drawers, resulting in more child locks than most people have for small children.
