Pet's Story
We adopted Chino from a casino parking lot (cannot go into too much detail due to character limitations) when he was a wee baby and he is my whole heart.
Chino is the most stunningly handsome boi around. He loves short walks, car rides, dixie cups full of whipped cream from the local coffee shop, teeny tennis balls, hot comforters fresh out of the dryer, long naps, snoring, Bravo reality shows, my son, and all the cheeses.
Chino dislikes extended hugs, plastic bags, outside holiday decorations, Iris (the English Bulldog next door), the sound of frying food, my daughter, getting his nails trimmed, wearing clothing, having his picture taken, copious kisses, when I tell people he is my husband, and being held.
He is a champion at playing Staring Contest and hogging all the blankets. Chino has an extraordinary long memory and is known to hold grudges. He distrusts any bit of food offered to him as he recalls that one time he was bamboozled in the past (medicine hidden in treats etc). He refuses to play "Guess Which Hand Your Treat is In?" because of the one time we tricked him and there was nothing in either hand.
Chino is my muse and he has been featured in many home movies and photo shop attempts. I often wonder, when I see him staring out the window, if he is asking the Universe how he ended up being an emotional support good boi.
Chino is all of the good things wrapped up in a sturdy, swarthy, barrel chested little body. I am glad I can share him with you all.
