Your Pet's Story or Bio
I was fighting depression with anxiety in the Fall of 2022. I fell in love with a black goldendoodle picture so much that I had to have her. When I met Maggie in Negaunee, I saw the soaked-from-drooling and slightly curly Maggie in-person for the first time and my heart exploded with agape love. Maggie was uncertain of her new surroundings. I slowly, and gradually, introduced her into the world and showed her how to not be afraid. Maggie has helped me alleviate my depression and anxiety by being available for petting, walks, kisses, and hugs. Maggie, in turn, needs me as she is still learning how not to be as timid as she is right now. We walk almost everyday, which helps both of us physically and mentally. She looks forward to the walks with untamed enthusiasm, and my depression/anxiety is almost gone.

Why support UPAWS and why vote for my pet!
I, and Maggie, strongly support UPAWS because many yet-to-be-known friends are housed at UPAWS or at various supporting homes. Maggie wasn’t found at UPAWS, but I’m certain that one of her relatives received the same kindness and care that you find at UPAWS. Voting for Maggie helps keep the commitment of second, third, fourth, etc. chances at life that UPAWS shows everyday to the various animals alive. Those chances are important because who knows what’ll happen? Maybe you’ll find your fur-ever friend at UPAWS. Maybe they’ll even help you with your mental issues, or keep you nice and fit by walking. You'll never know unless support for UPAWS continues by either voting for Maggie or one of her compatriots.
