Your Pet's Story or Bio
Doodle was named at the rescue she was at in China. She is a 2017 rescue from the Yulin Dog Meat Festival. She is part Shiba Inu, Chow Chow, German Shepherd and the other 5/8 even more of a mix. After 16 months in rescue (11 in China) and working through her youthful enthusiasm and nervous energy she is 30 pounds of true loving personality. She has made friends with countless dogs, three cats, a ferret, and a horse. She has caught a young turkey and a chipmunk and released them unharmed. She has played with a deer and a vole and loves to watch chickens. The picture was taken by Elle Rowe in July 2022 when she was hosting Doodle for a weekend and is very special to me. Her life jacket is not in the picture and to see her this calm and paddle boarding is wonderful.

UPAWS follows a wonderful philosophy - dogs don't always get a good start in life, but they deserve a chance to finish strong. Being able to share life with a dog is a blessing.
