Mia (formerly Minerva), the tuxedo, was found by herself at the cemetery off Route 200. Though she was scared and lonely, the brilliant VHS staff paired her with Chiva (formerly Bailarina), the calico, who was part of a litter rescued the same time from an abandoned house. They were instantly best friends and sisters with Chiva’s boisterous spirit balancing Mia’s patient and caring demeanor. Two frequent Vieques visitors met them at VHS where Mia climbed on their shoulders and Chiva booped them on the nose. After some VHS paperwork, a quick call to Cape Air, and a trip to the Everything Store, these two now spend their days luxuriating in Washington, DC, as the most pampered pets in the capital.
