Rubi is a Hurricane Maria survivor, a sweet little soul blown away in a terrible Category 5 Hurricane and found barely conscious in a ditch near the VHS shelter. Dulce was part of a "6-pack" of satos abandoned on a deserted Vieques beach. VHS rescued, nurtured, and found the "pack" loving forever homes. Today, Rubi and Dulce are constant companions who dream their island dreams on comfy couches in Roanoke, VA. At only 5.5 pounds each, they are small but mighty examples of how Vieques Humane Society saves lives.
