I moved to Vieques in 2020. In September, this little black tuxedo cat would cry outside my house. I would try to feed him, but he would not come near me. I so wanted him to be my kitty, but he was not having it. So, I adopted two kittens that had been rescued from the streets of Isabelle II, Vieques when they were just a few weeks old by Our Big Fat Caribbean Rescue. George Martin would watch me with the kittens through the windows and slowly began to trust me. Over the course of a year, he went from being a feral cat to a loving sweet member of my family.
