Your Pet's Story or Bio
In 2012 Rico was at the house we rent annually. He was so so skinny. Day two we saw his back leg was broken. He hung around and slept outside our bedroom door. VHS found two types of worms in his stool and HW. VHS couldn't help the We had to call our vet back home to confirm he had enough meds to treat the HW. He did but only for a smaller dog. We took him with us everywhere for the rest of the week. He steadfastly kept our backyard perimeter secure of squirrels and bunnies. He was a perfect mentor for dozens of foster Lab puppies. We said goodbye to Rico this March when his meds could no longer offset the excruciating pain of bone cancer.
