Walnut Hills Dog of the Year

The Walnut Hills Dog of the Year contest is being hosted by two Cincinnati non-profits located in Walnut Hills, Walnut Hills Redevelopment Foundation and Cincinnati Scholar House, a program of Cincinnati Union Bethel. We are hosting a joint event on October 9th and our dog contest will run the month running up to the event with the winner announced at the event. Your donations will go back to both organizations, so here is a little bit more about our missions.

The Cincinnati Scholar House:

Cincinnati Scholar House will end the cycle of poverty two generations at a time, by empowering families to succeed in education and job readiness, thereby promoting life-long self-sufficiency. This unique program is designed to provide a stable living and learning environment for low-income single parents and their dependent children, while the parent attends post-secondary classes that will lead to full-time sustainable employment.

Walnut Hills Redevelopment Foundation:

We are a non-profit community development corporation working to enhance the quality of life in Walnut Hills. Our vision is a Walnut Hills that is vibrant, safe, healthy and inclusive for all. We believe a quality place should be accessible to everyone.

Prizes:
  • Your dog’s winning photo will be featured at several Walnut Hills restaurants, businesses and on their social media
  • A private photo session and flower crown provided by Daisy Jane’s Flower Bar
  • Gift card to local businesses
  • Special gifts for the winning pup
