Pet's Story or Bio
Sterling was pulled from a shelter in Texas just after he was cleared for euthanasia. Since then he has lived his life bringing joy to everyone he meets. He was almost voted our VW club’s president in Texas. Sterling moved to the Seattle area at 4 years old and became the ultimate adventure dog. Sadly, at 7 years of age, he was diagnosed with glaucoma and by the age of 9, it had taken his eyesight leaving him completely blind. Sterling’s zest for life never diminished. He continued to enjoy hiking, running and being a WAMAL ambassadog.
Last year, Sterling started to have some back problems. What we thought was a pinched nerve is much more; IVDD (intervertebral disc disease). His running and hiking days may be over but he still absolutely loves his walks and meeting new people and making friends during our walks. Sterling loves life and nothing seems to change that. He has a smile that warms even the coldest hearts and his wooly coat is perfect for snuggling.
