Pet's Story or Bio
Koda was purchased from a breeder and subsequently given up to WAMAL as a 3 month old puppy. We had been looking for a male malamute puppy for over a year to be a little brother to our then 3 year old husky-malamute mix, Freja. We had given up trying to find one when Koda popped up on WAMAL’s page! We saw him and just knew he was our boy. We interviewed with WAMAL and then left the next morning for vacation. On our last day we learned we had been selected to be his parents! We flew home, got everything ready, and went to pick him up! He had a couple behavioral issues from being in foster care but we’ve worked with him and he is now the happiest, most dramatic, sweet, vocal boy. He and Freja are best friends and I’m so glad he came into our lives!
