About the Humane Society of Waupaca County
The Humane Society of Waupaca County started sheltering animals about 25 years ago, finally moving into a beautiful new Adoption Center in 2005 where we help hundreds of dogs and cats find loving new homes every year.
Our unique adoption program is centered on making the RIGHT matches- so you take home a pet for life! Please be patient and open-minded and we will help match you with a great animal companion! As an Adoption Guarantee facility, all animals that come through our doors are given the best chance we can give them for a great adoption with no time limits. Only dangerously aggressive animals and those with terminal conditions are kindly euthanized. Our placement rate is usually between 89-98% every month.
Our life-saving efforts depend on donors to fund the majority of our budget. This photo contest and other fundraisers throughout the year provide most of our Operating $$.
