The Washburn County Area Humane Society (WCAHS) is happy to announce that our pet photo contest and fundraiser is back by popular demand! With all proceeds raised by the event going to help feed and care for the hundreds of animals that pass through the shelter’s doors each year, we know that they are the real winners. Of course, the pet receiving the most votes will also be a winner, as our Cover Pet for our 2022 Friends for Life calendar.
Get your friends, family, co-workers, even complete strangers to vote for your pet. Who knows – your pet just might be the ultimate friend for life! While there can only be one “Pet of the Year”, there will also be 24 “Pets of the Month” – 1 cat and 1 dog for each month. In addition, we’ve added the “Cutest Dog and Cutest Cat” category with the winners being determined by the WCAHS Board of Directors. (Board members and staff are not eligible to win the “Pet of the Year” or “Cutest Dog and Cutest Cat” awards.)
