Rules

Enter as many photos as you desire, however, each entry requires a $10 donation.
Photo entries will be accepted from September 12, 2021 thru October 3, 2021 at 9:00 pm CST.
On-line voting begins October 4 and ends October 17, 2021 at 9:00 pm CST.
Emphasis of the photo should be on pets, not people. All pictures submitted to “The Pet Photo Contest” are required to support/further the mission of WCAHS. WCAHS reserves the right to refuse any photograph.
Anyone (worldwide) may vote for any entry in the 2022 “Friends for Life” Pet Photo Contest and Fundraiser. Each $1.00 donation to the Washburn County Area Humane Society counts as one vote. You may cast as many votes as you like for any photo entry. You are allowed and encouraged to vote for your own pets. Who loves them more than you do? Please remember that all votes are donations to help care for and feed the homeless animals at the Shelter.
This year, 25 photos will be featured in the 2022 “Friends for Life” calendar:
1. The photo receiving the most votes will be the “Pet of the Year” and that photo will grace the cover of the 2022 “Friends for Life” Calendar. The photo receiving the most votes will also receive a wildlife photo by award-winning professional photographer Dave Shaffer. (Go to bearwitnessimages.com to view some of his stunning photography.)
2. The “Cutest Dog” and “Cutest Cat” (as determined by the WCAHS Board of Directors) will each receive a special gift basket of wonderful dog/cat healthy treats, blankets, toys, and more.
3. 24 “Pets of the Month” will be featured in the calendar.
  1. The top 12 dog photos and top 12 cat photos receiving the most votes will be featured as a “Pets of the Month” in the calendar.
In addition, “Reserve-a-Day Photos” will be seen throughout the year.
