Merle was part of an approximately 6-week-old litter rescued from an area crack house. The litter was going to be murdered by the resident criminal if it wasn't gone by the end of that day, so we helped save it. All of the puppies were cute, as most puppies are, and while we found good homes for the rest, we simply couldn't part with Merle. He's a bit of a grump, quite stubborn, and fortunately for us, very food-motivated. He's also charming, and people are attracted by his fluffy good looks and those mesmerizing golden eyes, which he doesn't hesitate to use to get what he wants!
