Smokey came running around the corner of my condo at Fore Meadows Condo on S. Maple in July of 2013 at about 6 months of age with another younger kitten. She got shut in my garage when I was running errands and the other kitten, now alone, wandered over to the neighbor's condo where she was promptly taken in. I had already fed them both, so Smokey stayed around another few days until another neighbor showed interest in taking her to his brother, a med student at UT. I finally let her in and said, "well, kid, you're in!" I was not looking for a cat, but knew they usually found you--nor was I looking for a long-haired kitty, but also knew I'd never find a prettier cat! She's a bit high maintenance, but she's brushed her way into my heart. Photo is from Valentine's Day, 2017, as a greeting for family and friends.
