Just want a guaranteed spot in the calendar? Reserve a day to honor your pet. This can be for your pet's adoption anniversary, birthday, loved one's birthday, memorial or really any special day! Your pet's photo will appear on the day of your choice. Just choose your favorite photo and then choose the day and pay! First come first served! Once a date has been reserved, it will no longer be available.

- Contest is open to any owner of a pet dog within Carroll County, Maryland.
- Pet owners may submit entries at any time during contest period following the submission rules on the website
- Pictures must be uploaded by the pet's owner per the instructions provided.
- Pet owners may submit more than one entry, but each entry must be accompanied by the appropriate fee
- Votes by friends and colleagues will determine the winners of the Carroll County Dog of the Year -2023 Contest. Each vote requires a $1.00 donation
- The four winners will be determined by the votes recorded as of the closing time of the contest. Prizes will be awarded to the owners of the four highest vote getters.
- The pets who receive votes ranked numbers 5-12 will be featured on month of the 2024 calendar that will be produced for Kiwanis.
- Votes will be supervised and tabulated by the software provider and Kiwanis is not responsible for votes not properly cast, votes received outside the announced contest timeframe or other electronic malfunctions.
- Owners entering pets in the contest agree to have the pet's pictures used in conjunction with this contest, calendar production, and future contest promotion by Kiwanis.
Since 1932 Westminster Kiwanis has been involved in the community specifically supporting children and developing tomorrow's leaders. The prime example is Key Club Sponsorship for more than seventy years in county high schools. Kiwanis also sponsors scholarship to county high school graduates. Historically Kiwanis members have been instrumental in supporting major community projects such as establishing Carroll County General Hospital (now Carroll Hospital Center), Westminster Fire Department expansion, creation of the Westminster Boys and Girls Club, and support of the Carroll County Public Library.
Currently Kiwanis is supporting a Student of the Month Program in cooperation the Carroll County Public Schools. The club also assists Carroll County Food Sunday and sponsors the Aktion Club of Westminster that allows adults with disabilities to serve the community. Kiwanis continually investigates new ways to address challenges faced by youth of the community. Local citizens are encouraged to investigate membership in Kiwanis and the ways they can contribute their time and talents in developing tomorrow's leaders.
