Hi, I’m Bentley — a Bengal with big meows and an even bigger mission: to advoCATe for the life-saving power of pawtnerships between pets and people!

I came into my mom’s life when her doctor purr-scribed me to help her through some painful, scary experiences.

For over a decade, my dog sister/BFF and I were the dynamic duo who pawtnered with her medical teams to do what pets do best: offer nonjudgmental support, soul-level healing, and consistency during difficult, unpredictable times.

Our unconditional love gave her a reason to keep going, even on the hardest days. We were her lifeline.

When my sister died recently, it broke my heart. I still sit by the window where I used to wait for her to come back in from the garden — hoping for her impossible return.

Not long after, at W&W kitty yoga, Mom was just about to cry missing her — when a little gray cat walked over and gently meowed for pets. She was grieving too, a mama separated from her kittens and left behind at a high-kill shelter before Whiskers Without Borders saved her.

It felt like a sign that my sister was watching over all of us — still sending love and a guiding paw from over the rainbow bridge, bringing grieving hearts together when we needed each other most.

Now we’re fostering that rescue kitty, and hope she feels safe and loved enough here to make this her furever home.
