Help Us Elect the First-Ever Mayor of Whiskers and Wine!

Does your cat have charisma, cattitude, and mayoral purrtential? Enter them in our Mayor of Whiskers and Wine Photo Contest for the chance to win bragging rights, prizes, and a year-long legacy at the best cat cafe around! This fun feline fundraiser supports life-saving work from our rescue partner Whiskers Without Borders.

🐱 How It Works:

To enter a cat in the election, make a $20+ donation and submit your cat’s Mayoral election photo, short bio, and describe the platform they will run on.
$1 donation = 1 vote. Rally your friends and family to vote as many times as they’d like.
The cat with the most votes wins the Mayor title and a bundle of fabulous perks!
All proceeds go to support Whiskers Without Borders, our nonprofit rescue partner.

This is more than a photo contest—it’s a mew-vement to save cats and celebrate everything we love about them. Every dollar donated helps us continue our rescue work in San Diego and beyond.

We think voting and pawticipating in democracy are important. So one lucky voter will be selected at random to win two free entrance vouchers to Whiskers and Wine, an artist gift bag, and some fantastic merch and gifts!

All donations support Whiskers Without Borders, a local animal rescue organization that provides adoptions, spay/neuter programs, foster care, and life-saving veterinary services.

🐱 How to Enter

Nominate Your Cat
Donate $20 to enter your cat into the election. Your submission should include:

Cat’s name
Cat’s photo (Your cat’s best election profile picture showcasing their purrsonality)
Short bio about your cat and the platform they will run on. For example: what causes do they advoCATe for? Do they support community cat causes, or simply want more treats and scritchens? Why would your cat make the BEST mayor of W&W? Be creative and share your cat’s story!

🗳️ Voting Details

The polls open, and voting begins at 6:00 AM (Pacific Time) on Monday, August 18, 2025, after the nomination period ends.
Every $1 donated = 1 vote.
Voters can cast as many votes as they’d like for one or multiple cats.
Votes are non-refundable.
All proceeds go to support cat rescue, TNR, medical care, and community outreach programs through Whiskers Without Borders.
