Rewarding sunset at the end of an 11 hour lifeline pilots flight

Why I Fly
I enjoy the challenges and different thought processes that go with flying. I have done many extreme sports in my life for similar reasons (surfing, mountaineering, rock climbing, SCUBA diving, etc.) and flying is as much fun as all of them combined.

What would you tell a pilot thinking about volunteering?
It's really fun and rewarding to help someone learn about flying ( I also volunteer for CAP) and to help someone that needs to go to get additional help outside of their home town.
