Why I Fly
Since I was a small child I have always looked up to the beautiful skies and longed for the day that I could fly. I got that chance as a Young Eagle in a Cessna 150 in 1993. Needless to say, I was hooked. I became a private pilot in 1998 and aviation has carried me many places. I have flown with the Civil Air Patrol and Aviation Battalion of the Virginia Defense Force, And now Angel flight helping others while doing what I love makes it even better. The only place I truly feel free, is when I'm flying. Its the true love of soaring like the birds, being free to go almost anywhere. I love the feel of being above the clouds and feeling closer to heaven. Let's keep promoting General aviation so our pastime continues to grow and advance long into the future.

What organization(s) do you fly for?
Angel Flight Mid-Atlantic

What would you tell a pilot thinking about volunteering?
For many years the heart of a volunteer has been the cornerstone of the history of our country. Volunteering as a pilot helping families get to their appointments when they are in need is a feeling like no other. I would tell anyone who loves aviation this is a way to do what you love and really change peoples lives while doing it.
