Tell us a bit about your pet, what their story is & how they have changed your life for the better!
In 2021, I adopted Ollie (formerly known as Collin) from WAAL. He came from a heartbreaking hoarding situation, and WAAL spent two years patiently rehabilitating him before he was ready for adoption. When I first brought Ollie home, he was terrified of nearly everything—people, movements, and the world around him.

Fast forward to 2025, and Ollie has blossomed into the bravest little soul. He’s no longer scared of men, women, or quick hand movements, and every day he shows new growth. Watching his transformation has been one of the greatest joys of my life.

The truth is, while I may have given Ollie a safe home, he has given me even more in return. He saved me just as much—if not more—than I saved him. 💙🐾
