Waylon came to the Wichita Animal Shelter with his mother and three sisters just after Christmas of 2023. After their stray hold, they were transferred to Kansas Humane Society & went up for adoption on Jan. 10th of 2024.

The pups were only 10 weeks old & I knew they would get scooped up quickly. The picture of Waylon said he was everything I needed in my life after a recent heartbreak. I called repeatedly to put him on hold and drove like a crazy lady from Belle Plaine to KHS to get my pup. When the adoption specialist put us in a room, they asked if we would like some time alone. I said "I just want to pay you. This is my puppy!"

He has been my best friend ever since. He healed my heart in unimaginable ways & absolutely rescued me.
