Abandoned at AWLA in February, everything about Alex is NQR (not quite right): a little bit blind, a little bit deaf and a little bit wobbly. However none of this gets Alex down or dampens his enthusiasm for life ... and treats. Everyone hoped that spinal surgery would restore the use of Alex’s back legs and we are so grateful to those who donated funds to give him that chance. Three months out it’s looking less and less likely he will ever walk unaided although no-one, especially Alex, has given up trying and he is so patient with his physio and walking harness. In late May AWLA called us about a donated set of Walkin’ Wheels In Alex’s size (although perhaps not his preferred color). The wheels fit... and he’s off! Wobbly, bumping into things, but powering on, eager to explore a bigger world and share his joy for living, his smile and maybe even some treats.
