Your Pet's Story or Bio
Bear is my very first foster dog, and after having him for only 2 weeks I failed as a foster! I just couldn’t let him go! He is a 2 year old Lab mix, and at 73 pounds he is a very strong and exuberant puppy! He comes from a neglect (hoarding) situation, and as a result, he craves attention. He is very sweet and affectionate, curious, engaged, and very silly. He still barks and growls at his reflection in the mirror, and he will jump up on the bed and pull the covers off of me to get me up to start his day.

Bear doesn’t like to be ignored, and he will paw you, push you with his nose, or lie on the floor wagging and bark at you to get your attention. He insists on getting into your lap, and if he doesn't have a walk when he wants it, he has a little vocal doggy tantrum. He loves meeting people and other dogs, but he can’t contain his excitement, and he tends to jump on people.

I didn't intend to adopt a dog, only 2 months after losing my Harrier, Motley, and certainly not a big strong puppy like Bear. I just couldn't turn down Bear's sweet face and endearing personality. With patience and strong, consistent training I'm sure we will modify some of his puppy behaviors, and teach him his basic commands.

Bear will be an awesome dog !!
